Hello there again thrill seekers and party go’ers I hope that life and the new year are still treating you and all your loved ones well. I’m going to try to keep this journal entry brief so let’s jump right into it. I don’t plan on making this a weekly thing especially since on some weeks it’s actually better for me to be silent. But that aint this week this week is a week to speak so let’s get into the mix. I am trying to stay relatively consistent with these blogs so that it helps me become faster at writing them. I believe it probably is a good skillset have in the arsenal. When you express your thoughts and feeling it really helps to clear the brain and helps your focus. Like I said in a previous blog I like the idea or writing these pieces in real time as events unfold around me. 

First the weather report: Since the rain stopped the temperature has dropped and it is very cold. Still the weather is beautiful. It’s freezing still bright and sunny with clear blue skies. Only at this stage in my life could I stay in the lab to write and work. When I was younger there’s no way I would be inside on a day like this. I would have to go to the mall or the park or something. Fortunately, I have a back yard where I can take a break and go out and soak up some sunshine and fresh air. These cold temperatures are ideal for the running. It makes your runs so much more pleasurable and enjoyable. 

Next up, in music news the universe is mourning the loss of David Crosby in his physical form. While I am not the one to speak to a lot on this amazing individual. Due to the fact that before Thursday I didn’t directly realize how much iconic music he has been involved with creating, and what a huge impact he has had on culture and society. Through out my whole life I’ve seen his face and heard his name, but I didn’t equate him with all of his epic song creations that I have been exposed to through all forms of media outlets TV, radio, movies and commercials. So, I wanted to pay my respects. It took him passing for me to realize what a huge fan I am of his truly legendary catalog. I really admire his musical style referring to the whole constructual architecture of his work. The good vibes, the melodies and harmonies. His songs are like your favorite soup they warm the soul and ease the brain. His style of music is therapeutic it relieves stress so it helps heal the body. His songs were ones that anyone could relate to they transcended all boundaries and culture lines. I’m glad he realized the incredible legacy he would be leaving be leaving behind. This should impress upon all artist the immense power of spreading positivity in a world that now increasing needs more of those good vibrations. His songs will never die so he will continue live on through his incredible body of work. Until the day that he is with us again because we can be sure that God is a fan David Crosby’s music. 

In other music news, Flo Rida remember him? He had a good run made some party music and quite a few hit songs. Well he just won his lawsuit against an energy drink company that breached their endorsement deal with him. A Florida jury awarded him 82.5 million dollars. In the suit his legal team didn’t name a specific dollar amount but rather the 1 percent of company that he was promised in their contractual agreement. So this tells us how successful this company must have been with use of his likeness. We can take away a couple good lessons from this situation. It show us that music has power in the world of branding, marketing and selling of consumer goods. It’s also show us the benefit of having your business and legal affairs in order. Because this could have been just another story of a musician exploited by a corporation for his name and following. A lot of times these situations come down to having the resources to battle back and forth in the court of law. He had the common sense and the funds to stay lawyered up. So he would prevail. I’ve even heard the money should be tax free. Good for you bro, invest wisely my friend. Now is the time the market is down and even real estate is starting soften.
