Acquire what you Desire prelude 💻⌨️📡🐇🏖️🎥🏄🏿🏃🏿🔭💌

I hope all my friends out there are doing well and greetings to all. Well here I go again with another entry into my journal a written transmission a philosophical conversation beamed directly from my brain, and the through cyberspace digested by your eyes absorbed by your mind and uploaded to the newsfeed timeline of your thoughts. This is my way of steering the world in the direction of what should be all or our goal of harmony and balance. Using a keyboard as one of the weapons in my arsenal to fight for a better future a better world and a better life. As you take my words in to consideration I hope you look towards your own future with a sense of optimism. As I share with you my experiences. I hope that you maintain an open mind and try to empathize with other people points of view. Because it will take cooperation from the entire community of humanity as a whole to survive, advert catastrophe, improve our systems and resolve our issues.

I like to start these off by giving you a small portrait of my life at the moment. I believe this helps others understand my thought process at this point in time a little bit better and thus be able to comprehend my art and expressions more. Because it may hard to tell sometimes but ultimately this is a music blog and I am actively working towards when I will be posting new music here every day. I believe music like every art form is more relatable when there is context.  Things are good at work and life I’m finding my groove. Y’all now that I believe that everybody has a purpose. By that I do not mean that everyone was meant to do only one specific thing but rather that when you’re on the right path things seem to go right, but when you stray too far from the path nothing seems to go your way. Me I am a big believer in the metaphysical forces that we may not be able to see or physically touch. but are still very real nonetheless. For an example I believe karma is a force nature just as real as gravity or the air we breathe. With me being that type of person, I’m always looking for the signs. I think some people don’t realize that universe will talk to you. The cosmic entities are trying to tell them something but they’re not paying attention. Me I’m always on the lookout. Which brings us to my first story.

So I work all over the region I’m literally in a different city every day. I work in wide range of terrain from very affluent communities to down to the not so nice neighborhoods and everything in between. Which is cool things stay interesting makes for a lot of good material that’s a good thing for a writer it gives me a more nuanced view of the world. This was two Tuesdays ago I was working in Oakland in an densely populated urban inner city neighborhood. I was somewhere in the avenues. My delivery address is a San Francisco style duplex with early 19th century architecture. But this wasn’t one of those restored neighborhoods I was in the hood. That phrase is not meant to demean anybody there’s nothing wrong with living in the hood. There was nowhere to park the truck so I double park in the middle of the street.  I walk up to this apartment I open the gate to go in the yard to make my delivery. What is I see staring at me? It’s none but a fluffy white rabbit chilling in the front yard of this apartment building. He looked like he didn’t have a care in the world. This was no wild jack rabbit this was definitely what you would consider a house bunny. He was sugar white except he had this streak of all different sizes and shades brown specks running down his back in one uniform single stripe. He wasn’t worried about nothing not a dog, a cat, a snake, a hawk. He wasn’t even worried about me for that matter. He was just posted chilling. He just looked at me as if to say “who is you dude?”. You might be thinking “you saw a rabbit so what?”. Now Oakland has its upscale parts of town too, but that’s not where I was at. When I think about Oakland the first things I think about is not fluffy white rabbits frolicking around in the front yard of an apartment building. So when I talk to lady who received the delivery I asked her “Is that rabbit out there in the yard? I don’t want him to runaway” the she responds no that’s neighborhood pet bunny everybody takes cares of him. I asked her if the cats bother him? She said “no they’re all friends they play together”. She also said "it was strange that he was in the front because he usually always stays in the back. First off I consider rabbits to be my power animal. They are super clean, fast, lean very loyal little Loving machines. They’re funny you can’t look at them and not smile or laugh. They’re intelligent creatures and very animated almost 100% of there communication is through body language. Just being that they are so vulnerable there’s something inspirational about one thriving in what could be consider a harsh environment. It also gives you hope in the people in the world that they still want to preserve the beauty of nature. So while some may say big deal, me noticing something so completely out of place like this. I knew it was a sign from the universe, telling me this is going to be a good day something cool is going to happen. This was a Tuesday and that Monday was pretty good too. Just like I thought it turned out to be a great day good things occurred in my world. What happened? Well sometimes its all the small things that help make life more bearable. You have to appreciate those special moments that’s something that can’t be taken away from you.

Not to long ago when I was filming a lot anytime I was traveling I would always be looking for interesting places to shoot video footage. There is actually is a lot of hidden spots in California that would make for a good music video. My favorite city I’ve been through recently I think is Seaside Ca. It’s a coastal city not to far from Monterrey, with a lot of interesting scenery. A cool city temperature wise as well very reminiscent of Hawaii. I remember seeing all these abandoned buildings with all this tight artistic graffiti tagged on the walls but the town didn’t seem run down at all it was very clean. If you’re ever looking for a break from the heat its definitely a place I’d like to return to and spend a few days there.  Seaside baby

“Acquire what you Desire” is a concept I would like explore as a writer as well as an exercise in critical thinking. I want to look at this from different angles and break down the different layers. You shouldn’t assume we’re only discussing things of a material or physical nature. Those things on there own can feel very superficial. In the future I wouldn’t mind being a person who writes books. This doesn’t seem like a bad way to make a living to me. I guess you can say that is one of my desires. How do we get good at something? repetition repetition repetittion. Perhaps this exercise will help me find my genre. I hope that you continue to join me on this journey of learning and growth.

                                                   The Fifty Dollar Treadmill

Before my most recent move one of the reasons I stayed in the place that I did for so long is the complex has this really amazing gym. Usually there’s nobody in there never more than like one or two people. That was a really valuable resource to have. Coincidently they closed it down during pandemic which was extremely frustrating and nonsensical. That’s when I started running outside. In the summer time I would run at night because of the heat. That’s what actually lead to me bearing witness to something completely out of this world. I wouldn’t say it change my perspective it just confirmed what I already knew and felt. Anyhow I digress when they finally opened the gym back up. Me like a lot of people wanted to focus getting leaner. I was running on the treadmill a lot. As a lot of people already know running makes you feel really good. When I was unexpectedly was put in the position to have to move, I didn’t want to lose the momentum I built up. So I’m like I got to get a treadmill. I’m checking craigslist list every day and I find one they only want fifty dollars for it and its only a ten-minute drive from where I lived at the time. The day before the move as soon as I pick up the U-Haul I go to buy it. The people selling it were very friendly. What do I know about treadmills? It powered on so I figure it works. They didn’t lie to me they told me that they were selling it to make room for the husbands new motorcycle. They told it didn’t run like it was new. The wife told me walks on it but her son runs on it. They gave me a wrench to loosen and tighten the belt and the original user manual. All in all I’m happy with purchase fifty dollars treadmills can cost over a thousand. I’ll talk more about the move later but by far the hardest part of the day was getting that thing up a flight of stairs with turn in them. The homie was lifesaver for helping with that. I paid him but I still owe him for helping with that. I had to use some tools to take off the handle bars to navigate that turn in the stairs. After I’m all move in it’s a few weeks before I get to try it out. Can you guess what happens when I do get on it. If you said I look like one of those gifs on the internet where the person gets thrown off the treadmill into a wall you’d be almost right. I didn’t fall but I almost did fall and break my neck. Every time I would get this thing up to a descent enough speed the belt would stick and I would almost fall. So the wrench they gave was the wrong size that’s alright at least they pointed me in the right direction. I spent the next few days reading the manual searching the internet tinkering, loosening and tightening this machine. Hiring a tech to fix it wasn’t and option I could buy a new one for what they would’ve charge me. There was a point where I had this treadmill completely disassembled. All the pieces were spread out all over the floor. The though crossed my brain to while its easy to do I should take all this mess and throw it in the trash. Chalk up those fifty dollars as a loss and buy a new one. But I didn’t do that I put it back together and I made several more adjustments until I had a machine that I could walk really fast and the incline function works well. So you know those trails Sacramento has so many of? I just so happens to live less than a block away from one that’s actually pretty amazing if I want to run. I’m fifty dollars in the hole but I’m not in such a bad position. But there was one thing I didn’t try because the manual said to never to wax the deck because it was already pre lubricated. If I was to do that it would ruin the machine and void my warranty. Now this treadmill is no where in the range of being new a pacemaster pro elite. The company has been out business for over a decade. There’s no warranty but I don’t want to ruin it completely. I had already ordered the paraffin wax ordered so I had it on hand. In the meantime, I’m not tripping I’m doing my thing running outside. One day I had some extra time on my hands. I loosen up the belt and spread the wax all over the deck I tighten the belt back up. And can you believe it, ever since then this machine has run like a dream. It works like a brand new treadmill. What can we take away from this experience?  Well paraffin wax will cure your old treadmill. More than that whatever project you’re working on or whatever your aspirations are. If you don’t see your projects all through to the finish, you’ll never see any yield from your investments. Don’t quit in the middle of the pursuance of your desires and still persevere even when the situation seems dire, and to all the silkys staaay smoooove. I’ll return soon I have a lot more to say.
