Colin Kaepernick and the disenfranchised

So I haven't posted a blog in a couple weeks.  I've been spending my extra time doing my usual thing working in the Lab. I've been exploring an aspect that's new to me. It's coming together so well that I don't want to give to much away so that when it drops i'll fully be able to capitalize on the element of surprise. So without getting to far into it I am learning to work with video editing and animation programs. I'm taking my time learning the in and outs of the programs and adding new layers to my creative process. Also I know this is going to require a lot more processing power  that sound editing so I am definitely going to need to build a newer more powerful computer. Anyhow I should be able to finish my current project within a few days and I will release it at the most opportune time and I think people are going to like it.

Now the minute I read about Kaepernick situation I knew thats all I was going to hear about for the next few days. Because if there's anything the media loves it's racially charged news story's. I would think that as a nation we would be past this by now but apparently not. The reason I am weighting in on the subject is because I think its admirable to see someone in his position take what is undoubtedly an unpopular decision to stand for a cause he believes in. He's lived a privileged life and it would be easy for him to ignore the problem like so many others. But instead he becomes a voice for the disenfranchised
This is important I know because I keep my ear to streets and I know that a lot of these kids who come from harsh neighbors think nobody cares about them so they just loose hope. When I was young we had 2pac, OutCast and even  Michael Jackson among others but they were leaders. But they made socially conscious music that gave us hope at least we had somebody on our side. Most of todays rappers only care about skinny jeans and how many phones they have.

In conclusion its not about disrespecting the flag it about bringing awareness that there's serious problems in our justice system and they should be addressed immediately. Of course there good police officers out  there and I don't want to hear about how hard it is to drive around eat donuts all day, that was just a joke but my point is everybody has hard job. Does that means we shouldn't question there excessive use of force.  But im just glad people are starting to wake up because we are better this. In my opinion it's not even a racial issue thats only on the surface its actually a lot deeper than that. But if I get off in to that I'll be writing all night..
