Entry #Zero: Motivation & Inspiration

Music has always been a major force in my life. Growing up I would usually be woken up by my mom blasting her records. She would play Bootsy Collins, Parliment
, Kurtis Blow, Run DMC among many others. She would take us to see movies like Beat Street, Breaking, and Rappin Hood the 1st weekend they came out. She would rent musicals like the wiz over and over. One of the most positive aspects of the California school system at time was that  they had such a strong music program. I wish I would have taken advantage of it more but I feel it was still a great influence that early in my life. As I got older and the sound of day started to change I didn't hear much rap because my mom didn't let me listen to it. So instead I was more influenced the r&b of times. My adolescent years were rough like they were for a lot of people. But music helped through some my harshest times. Especially Tupac Shakur his music really changed my whole outlook and perspective. I honestly  feel if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be alive right now. The sounds of times were so relate-able songs I would hear were literally describing my life so I didnt feel as alone. I've always felt a obligation to contribute to continue this positive cycle. If can utilizing and art form I am passionate about all the better. If someone can hear my sounds and it can make a difference in there  life or make there day better. Then I feel like I've accomplished something. I dont want this entry to go on to long so will I continue on this subject at a later date.
