So I have to tell you Im feeling pretty good. I got in four solid workouts this week hey I even did my cardio. On Top of that it's friday and friday is my favorite day of the week. Becuz after I handle all my business friday is my chillax day. I wont even go to the gym on friday unless I missed my workouts all thru the week. On friday I might go see a movie or take a pretty girl out to dinner or Ice cream or sumthing. You know just chill give my brain a rest. So Let me tell about today it was a Long freaking day. I spent four hours in Bay Area Super Commuter traffic and then my truck got pulled in at the scales. Everything went smooth but it was a very long day. I enjoy what I do and I am compensated well but I am freaking exhausted.
My point in explaining all this is to you is that the Last dam thing that I want to do is get on the internet and stare at some hella bright ass computer screen right now. Not that I dont like writing blogs because I do thats why I do it. Its just that I prefer to write after a day of rest and I'm feeling refreshed and relaxed. But the story Im writing on today is so outrageous that I had speak on it right Now.
So if you haven't heard this is the situation citibank along with a bunch of other worlds banks is funding the construction of a 3.8 billion dollar oil pipeline that crosses thru sacred Native American burial grounds also it crosses in several locations across theses indigenous peoples drinking water as it spans four states. This is an example of corporate greed with no regard for the environmental consequences. So of course the Native American people are opposed to it. Over 200 Native groups from the US and Canada representing over 100,000 people have united in protest against pipeline the largest unification of indigenous people in decades
And not without just concern there been and oil spill in the Yellowstone river, A pipeline explosion in New Mexico and some attribute recent earthquakes in Oklahoma to fracking.
Over Labor Day weekend the whole situation came to boil . When the pipelines construction company private security attacked native american protesters with dogs and pepper spray while the local authorities looked on. that something like this can even happen in 2016 is just beyond belief. As I understand it both sides are locked in a legal brawl over the issue and the Federal goverment has step in and halted the pipeline construction for now. It seems as if this battle is far from over.So Im writing to show support for the protesters because after all it is there land and should have the final say and because protecting the environment is the right thing to for all us. I also support the people in san francisco protesting at citibank for funding this asinine project. Its pure greed when is it enough? I've often compared this country's addiction fossil fuel to someone a with bad drug habit. There are alternative fuels out there we don't have to let the big oil and coal companies lead us to our ecological demise.
