So, the Festivus season is upon us and its glorious. You know what I love the most about this holiday is that it’s a big Joke and it makes me laugh and the laughter makes me happy. Honestly, I celebrate every day that I’m alive I consider it to be a blessing. Even with the struggles that I go through help me appreciate my accomplishments even that much more. For example, If I didn’t have that Cadillac when I was 18 that broke down every five minutes, I wouldn’t appreciate the vehicle that I have now as much. If I didn’t have the job where I was working sixteen hours a day sleeping in a hotel room in the bay area eating burger king every night. I won’t appreciate that now I work maybe five hours at most every day. I get to sleep in my own bed that some stranger wasn’t snuggled up in the night before. I have time to prepare my own meals. May not be at mountain top yet but I still have to appreciate some progress. When I get rich the first person I’m going to have to hire is some to handle all my cooking and meal prep because I eat a lot and it’s very time consuming but actually an extremely important aspect to staying healthy.
Anyways I really like how the festivus celebration begins with airing of grievances. This is where you get to tell all the people in your life how much they’ve disappointed you over the past year. Yeah 2020 was a very disappointing year and we’re going to talk about it. But first we’re going to talk about me. I would describe my life as of late as a freaking rollercoaster. A lot of ups and downs twist and turns. A lot of good things are happening let’s talk about something fun let’s talk about food.
I recently found the best veggie burger I ever had and I’ve had a lot of them and most of them are not very good and way overpriced. This one is different It’s by a company named Ozo, so not only did this burger taste like actual beef the texture and consistency was there as well. It wasn’t mushy like the impossible whopper. Also, it contains no soy It’s made of pea protein but it actually tastes like meat but digest like vegetables. Even thou the sodium content was kind of high it’s not as bad as beyond beef. I got them on sale at grocery outlet for two in a pack for a dollar. I don’t think I would pay the normal price that they are in other supermarkets of six dollars for that same two pack because since there just vegetables on whole grain buns of course I could eat two cheeseburgers and still be hungry like two hours later. That is actually one of the aspects I rather enjoy about vegetarianism. You see I’m a bulk eater I really enjoy food so I really like the idea that I can eat two large cheeseburgers and its just like I ate two big bowls of veggies. but up until now in my opinion the taste and the texture wasn’t really there. So, the product is more up to par but still way overprice if you study the ingredients of the meat substitute products, they should actually be cheaper than actual beef. I believe when this industry finds its proper price point their business will really take off and become the mainstream. Regardless of peoples personal opinion on the subject. Its just the natural progression of things and logic always wins in the end. Keep this in mind if you get the munchies a lot like I do you’re not required to eat junk. When you have the munchies, you can consume nutritional dense high quality calories. Your treat or snack can taste good and be healthy is my point.
I mentioned in this blog that at one point years back I was drinking alcohol in excess. So, what happened in that situation is well first let me say this about my self is that I do not have an addictive personality. If I ever wanted to quit something, I just stop doing it and that’s never been a problem for me to just stop a bad habit cold turkey. So, when I was laid off in summer 2019 I was still drinking but I cut back significantly. Then when the quarantine started, I just quit drinking all together. It’s not a good idea to be home all day drinking. Plus, not having access to the gym you have to be hyper focused on nutrition. Or things are going to go sideways on you fast. That was just until recently I haven’t drank any alcohol at all. Now one of my very favorite tv show is shark tank. It is huge influence on my life. There are two episodes where the entrepreneurs product was a kombucha drink. That kind of put me up on some of the health benefits of it. Since I’m a bulk eater when I eat, I eat a lot so I know its good idea to have a lot of probiotics in my diet to aid digestion. So, when I started noticing hard kombucha I was like that’s just my type of product. So, my philosophy with nutrition is if you’re going to have something that’s not necessarily good try make it something that benefits your body in some capacity. For an example if your going have ice cream for desert why not have a protein ice cream or protein cookie or something somewhat nutritional so that it’s not just empty calories. I found a drink that’s the bomb it’s called Nova the pina colada flavor it’s from a company down south in Chula Vista. I like the product so much I’m considering driving there and try to get involved with the company possibly as a distributor. It’s delicious 8% alcohol but can’t even taste it. It’s kind of expensive at twelve dollars for a four pack. That’s three dollars per twelve ounce can but that price tag motivates me limit my consumption. I’ll just drink one per day maybe two on the weekend. It definitely helps me digest all that dam chicken I be eating. Just enough liquor to the edge off the day. I feel like the kombucha doesn’t leave me with the same bloated look and feeling that beer and wine do. I feel like it helps regulate my gut health and not contribute to a beer belly. Anyhow those are just a couple of products I ran into at the grocery outlet or the outlet of grocery as I like to call it that I’m really into right now.
So, when I got laid off in summer 2019, I was seriously considering purchasing a commercial truck and becoming a car hauler. When I was driving long distances I would listen to youtube for up to 8 hours a day. Youtube is wealth of information as it is also wealth of misinformation. The main channels I was watching at the time were (tow piglet) that guy is a beast and (hot shot haulers) that guy is a certified hustler. Those are the guys I would look at if you more information in the frieght transport industry. So, as I was home laid off watching more yt than ever I started coming across all these business style videos from other industries. One of those industries was Amazon FBA……………
