“Wzup? Greetings to everybody, No matter where you might be, Land, Space, or Sea, I hope all my Friendz are doing just as well as Me”. Today let’s jump right into the mix another installment of the A.W.Y.D series. Remember this is an exercise in philosophy, critical thinking and reasoning, not ideology. I usually try to think of a compelling inspirational intro to these entries. I try to find the words that make you realize that the images that you visualize you have the ability to make them materialize. You can influence the molecules, atmosphere and energy around you and shape your reality into whatever you would like it to be. In a world that can bombard us with so much disturbing imagery. To help balance out your media intake I aspire to be an oasis of positive affirmation in a desert of doubt, a beacon of light in a sea of darkness. It is my belief that the human mind is an extraordinary anomaly with a vast array of untapped potential, capable of miraculous activities. I believe that the more of us that this bright vision of the future for all the world, the more likely and the sooner that reality will come to pass. If I am to be truthful this is just as much a pep talk to myself as it is to anybody else. At times it can seem as if we exist in a system that instead nurturing our potential, they mostly seek to suppress it. What would be the motivations behind them doing something as sinister as that? For my estimation I will quote sister Janet and say it’s all about “Control”. Now this is not going to turn into some political critique. Due to my thoughts that it just seems to be a character flaw in about 90% of human beings. They just don’t seem to be able to handle huge amounts of authority well. More often than not they seem to abuse it. Identifying the problem is the first step towards correcting it. This is just another obstacle in the path that we will overcome through cooperation in our operations. Much like ants human communities were designed to work in unity. We can help each other remain positive, because confidence is key, insecurities are the enemy. An extraordinarily wise young man once said: “If you only have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. Nothing for you will be impossible”.
I just went outside for a few minutes to take a break, It’s freaking sizzling hot out there. I adjust my daily routine based on the weather including extreme heat. In my quest to maximize my productive output I’ve recognized that a lot of good things don’t get accomplished when the temperatures go up past triple digits. It really seems to drain your energy faster too. That’s something I noticed from when I lived in Phoenix. So I never do things like video or photoshoots when its this hot, also I turn down the intensity of my workouts. You don’t want to put excessive stress on your system because stress is what ages your body not time. Some stress is unavoidable. When it comes to your body I believe the individual should have the choice to decide the amount of stress that they can leverage upon their own body at a given time. Keeping in mind that a lot of people living our system don’t have access to healthcare, resulting in various otherwise preventable health conditions being widespread and there is a growing large number of people who can’t even afford a place to live. If you actually want to cure the symptoms you have to first address the root causation. Point being if you really care about saving life your primary focus should be on shaping a better world. You have look at the big picture and consider all relevant circumstances involved. I digress and go back to my point about stress. Numerous things in our life can cause stress resulting in high levels of cortisol and free radicals which can be toxic and damage our internals leading to a variety of health complications.
So I started wring this on Saturday when the temp got up to around 105. I’m finishing this up on Sunday it’s 15 degrees cooler. It makes such a huge difference in how you feel. I feel so much more energetic today. I’ve been trying to find ways to increase my written output. I started experimenting with wearing sunglasses while writing so I can look at a screen for longer periods of time without having to take a break because it makes your head hurt. Nothing will stop you from going into flow more than if you keep having to stop doing what you’re doing. Anyhow it seems that glasses with dark blue colored lens work well for this. One of reasons I know I will be more productive than I ever have been in the past is my current work schedule. He four day a week is great. I remember in the past everybody including me would be so excited about a three day weekend, now it’s a weekly thing. That extra day of rest is a game changer. It’s like when the week starts to seem bit unbearable you a get a day off to help you get through it. When the weekend does arrive I’m not completely drained. Then you have an extra day to get other stuff done like exercise, shopping, cooking, cleaning and all that necessary stuff. I know this will lead to me being able to get more projects accomplished and having a higher media output than I ever have had before.
the Food that Built America
So we are still discussing food and the business of it. And why not? It’s good business everybody has to eat. It’s a hard business the competition is steep. I like watching some food shows from time to time. Chopped is good one Top Chef was one of my favorite shows for many years. Most recently I’ve really gotten into “the Food that Built America”. First off (the History Channel) is such an amazing resource in general, but this particular show stands out as fantastic. It’s fascinating learning about how these iconic brands got their start and the entrepreneurs that drove their success. I think everything produced under this series has been incredible. I’ll try to keep this discussion centered around season 3, the newest season. For now I think I just want to touch on season highlights and I’ll break down the episodes further on future blogs, after I watch them a few more times. I like every single episode I think they’re all really good. Even though there’s a strong educational component the shows are enjoyable and entertaining at the same time. If you want to watch something just to put you in a good mood, I recommend watching the donut or the soft serve episodes. The Donut one is about Krispy Crème and Dunkin Donuts. How is that not going to be fun to watch? The founders of both of these companies began with only one location they both had to be innovative. Donuts were not a common food at the turn of the 19th century. Krispy Kreme started out as a donut factory and distributor that only sold their donuts to local grocery stores in the Winston Salem area. They found their business model when people kept banging on their factory door because they could smell the fresh baked donuts and they wanted to buy some. They recognized an opportunity adjusted the business and they put in a service window. To standardize their product across all their locations to make sure they had uniform consistency. They actually had to invent their own automated donut making machine that would create precisely the perfect donut every time. Tom Carvel also had to create his own device to make his soft serve ice cream. A lot of these guys had to do something similar to that. Keep that thought in mind for future reference. Bill Rosenburg the founder of Dunkin had to be creative he invented 52 different kinds of donuts. The donut industry greatly profited from the workers movement of that age. Before the movement people didn’t really get breaks at work. So these companies were able to benefit from the newly gained coffee break. I’m going to stop right there for today. I just wanted to take the time to drop some proper words on you this week. I’m going to kept going further in depth regarding this show because there’s a ton more to break down and learn from. Keep in mind everything I’m writing will have future context and will make more sense in time. I’ll be drawing comparisons to the modern world our lives and even my own current aspirations. I’ve mentioned before I’m developing a food product. It’s not a gimmick it has nothing to do with my music brand. Even though what I can do in the studio will always help me along my path. It’s my own recipe that I will patent and trademark. I feel it’s product that could help a lot of people and I have a good idea of how to market it. I never would have guessed this but the first book I author might be a cookbook. Where my product is the main component in a cooking system designed for people who want to eat healthily but have little time to cook. Will this be my contribution to society? I don’t know time will tell. It’s definitely in the realm of possibility but its not like this is the last good idea I’ll ever have in my life. In the episode about Taco bell and Arby’s one of the hosts says to be successful he tells his students innovate something new that the public doesn’t know it needs yet. It won’t be easy but I believe it could be a player in the meal prep kit space. It’ll take some time and resources but the objective is to get the ball rolling and make at least a little progress each day. I appreciate you joining me once again and I would be delighted if you choose to return and continue to join me along this our journey. I wish you a pleasant evening and peaceful night of rest where you dream about ice cream and donuts and wake up ready for an excellent week. Stay tuned I will return soon with part 3.
