the Creative Process: the Mixxdown 🌧️🌞🙍🏼🙍🏾‍♂️🧬👨🏿‍🍳🌻🍄🍲😋🙃🎧🤔⚡🧠💡🎉💚🎂💛

Good day people of earth and beyond, So here I go again with another blog post. As promised this one is going to be on a much lighter note than yesterday. I just had to get that off my chest. I had to document it in my own way because we’re going through one of those moments people will be analyzing hundreds of years from now. What’s funny is that yesterday was gloomy rainy and cold but today is brilliant sunshine. Similar to the mood of the blogs that I would write on each of these days. This one is going to be more of a business and music update. A while ago when life took a pretty drastic turn for me, I turned to this blog to still be my voice out into the world. Due to the fact that I felt guilty for not being able to do what I felt I should be doing. Which is putting out music in to the atmosphere on a regular basis. It’s a way for me to stay in touch and let people know what I’m up to in the between time and also be able to express my myself and speak my mind. Whether I reach many or whether I only reach a few just know that I will always do what I do. In the last post I started out talking about the importance of communication. One of the reasons I’m eager to get this music blog rolling is best way that I communicate is through playing music. I believe once people start hearing these trax you’ll know just what I mean. Although the songs are instrumentals as of now, the energy and emotion still vibrate through and will be felt. I don’t want keep just talking about I want to show not tell but it doesn’t hurt to have a bit of context. I am pretty excited about new ways to monetize this IP, generate income and have a career or a business doing what I absolutely love. This brings me to another point that I briefly wanted to touch on regards to mental health. I was watching this show and the host was talking About how the happiness level in this country among certain age groups and demographics has plunged. The way he phrased it he made it seem as if people were just sitting around taking antidepressants feeling sorry for themselves. I’m paraphrasing here but he pretty much saying that people should be happy because they have a job and a TV. I can see that point of view to a small degree, but me being someone that has a strong interest in psychology I have theory about depression. My thought is this I think everybody has a purpose and every emotion serves a purpose. When I look back on times in my life when I experienced depression. Then compared that to the wide and diverse range of people and have been affected by it or struggle with depression has caused me to come up with my own hypothesis. In recent years we see people that have fortune, fame and family but still become suicidal. Personally, I can tell you that the times in my life when I have felt depressed is when I was not playing music. So, you can probably see where I am going with this. Whenever I am making a lot of music not matter what is going on in my life and whatever challenges I may be facing at the time I’m pretty much still a happy camper. It’s not music or creativity for everybody but like an ant colony everyone plays a roll in running a healthy well adjusted society. Just like an ant colony if something is off things can go into a death spiral. I’m not an expert these are just my thoughts. My point is this possibly some of these people are finding themselves depressed because they are not finding true meaning  in their life because they are not doing what they are coded to be doing in their genetics. It doesn’t have to have to be something complicate like finding a new career or having children. It could be something simple that helps you find meaning like planting a garden, photography, or writing poetry or cooking for your friends. Anyhow I think you get my point just something I wanted to touch on. Back to the subject at hand. One of the most crucial steps in the process after a song is recorded is the mixdown and master. I’m not going to get too deep into this it’s engineering work it’s what has to be done to make sure the songs sound right across various platforms, it’s technical stuff most people don’t care as is they shouldn’t. I only bring it up because in the past it’s something I’ve paid and relied on other people, professionals to do for me. Which I think is good to have another set of ears helping to make sure the final product is perfect. As you grow in the field and the industry changes and your objectives also change you may have to wear more hats. At the end of the day what comes out is your baby. So, I had to take some time out to learn to do that for myself. It’s not that complicated of a task if you know what you want your music to sound like. After you’ve spent countless hours as a producer a long side the sound engineer you start to learn and pick up what there are doing. Also, youtube is a good resource for tutorials on this subject. I had to go back and mixdown and master everything that I had for the past couple years or so. The benefit of being able to come out with a completed product from A-Z in-house, is that it makes things a whole lot easier if something isn’t quite right and you need to make changes. Also, you’re not paying someone else to do it for you. I finished doing that a few weeks ago, now I have a few dozen of trax finished ready to go. I have everything on my google drive and my phone just in case. In the future I won’t have to take time out to do that because I will mixdown and master the trax as I produce them. That is one of the reasons I haven’t started working on videos yet. This is my plan. I have long vacation coming up in a few weeks. I want to spend that entire break working on new beats. In the past I’ve never had that long to just focus on just my music. Projects come out so much better when you don’t have to stop producing because you have to get ready for work and I may not be able to get back to the song for a few days. Then it can take more time to get back into same mindset you were in when you started creating the trak. Things run so much smoother when you can stay up late if you need to and get right back to it early in the morning. It definitely enhances the quality of work. After that I think I will be ready to start working on the visual aspect for the songs, but if I feel I’m still just hitting my stride as a producer and capturing lighting in a bottle. I will keep working on new trax until I feel the time is right. So, reality is that things are changing fast I’m doing my best to process a whole lot of new information. In regards to music licensing and new AI tools are popping up seems like every day. Up until a few weeks ago I had never even heard the word “sync license”. What I’m learning changes my perspective and possibly my entire objective. I just knew I wanted to try to get my music into commercials and video games etc. Come to find out there’s an entire industry and infrastructure setup to facilitate just that and the odds are so much better than trying to become the next viral sensation. It will take me some time process and apply all this new information into a coherent winning strategy. I want to talk about all that more in the next blog. Maybe that one will be a video we’ll see what happens Until then I hope you continue to win. Happy Sunday, I hope you get you proper amount of sleep and wake up rejuvenated for a productive, prosperous, joyful week. Stay Beautiful even though I know you can’t help but to do that. Much Love as always

I’ve always been kind of a Late bloomer but she’s got me coming out of my shell,

I’m posted in my Laboratory these beats they’re sounding bananas,

I’m going to take them to New York and Atlanta,

I might need to rent a camper and a cabana,

I’m going with DJ and Stephanie Tanner,

I’m going to need to trade my whip,

B4 I can take this trip,

And when I flip this switch, the paradyme is about to shift,

I’m NEVER about the grift, Music is my curse and my gift,

And when it comes to my life on the road I’m going to have to plead the 5th,

In the studio I’m as fast as Sonic Pryme, this world is running out of time,

But even so the starz they still will shine,

So first I’m going to audition these traks to those who know wzup and hopefully blow their mind,

I’m drinking an Ice cold kombucha beer, I don’t even understand the concept of fear,

Yeah I’m crazy, like a fox, Solid like a box of diamond roxx,

Flow cold as the winter frost as I walks the blocs,

I don’t fear the cost to be the boss and that’s my secret sauce,

Its not about your feelings its about the future of the children,

Are we really unwilling to stop drilling even thou it’s the planet that we are killing?

I’m still running everyday, running like a race,

I cut down to half an hour but I run at twice the pace,

I’m going to keep that higher pace and steadily increase my time,

As I stay on a quest to sharpen my body and my mind,

Doc said too much exercise can raise your cortisol,

Well that’s subjective and debatable,

When done properly exercise is therapeutic and will actually reduce the stress hormone variable,

She was like today I have to fly, the reply don’t forget to bring extra zip ties,

That was so funny I thought I was going to die,

Definitely funnier than anything recently on Saturday night Live,

I fell out the bed on my side, and cried, Let me tell you why, I feel fly,

After running for an hour everyday for the last 8 months ½ an hour is like a slice of sweet cherry pie,

But first I had to build condition, and be on a mission in the kitchen,

I made a decision to not ask permission, to escape from this prison, we live in,

In our brainz, I feel refreshed by the rainz, but the days are getting strange,

So many incidents on airplanes and derailed trainz,

Once again I’m working on the beatz, So I might be a little quiet for the next few weeks,

But there’s no need to freak, I’m perfecting the recipe that you seek,

I have hair like a sheep, but I’m still quik on my feet in  the street, as I pound the concrete,

Earthquakes in one place after another as we go deep,

Into a phase of separation of the weeds and the wheat,

So you can tell the whole fleet, of the rewards we will reap,

If it is good words that we speak,

And try running on a treadmill for an hour a day as a cure for insomnia if at night you cannot sleep,

Happy International Womens day! Celebrate the Women in your Life!

Lights Out New Years Eve 2023⛈️🌧️🍾🥂⚡🛌🏾🎆🏋🏿‍♂️🏃🏿💪🏾🎹🎵🎶🎻👄🤍💋🖤📀📻

Hello everybody no matter where you might be land, air, space or sea, I hope all my Friendz are doing just as well as me. Welcome again to the home of the “Silky Smoove Blogcast Broadcast”. Here with another post I’m your host from the coast that gets it poppin the most. This isn’t going to be a very long blog entry. I just wanted to take some time and reach out with the Force and connect with you on this first day of this year. To tell you the truth I meant to get this post out last night before the year turned over, I was half way through writing this. I was talking about the rainy day and how I thought the rain was sexy, inspirational and arousing. I was talking about how I was home chilling in my full length plush Jedi robe and slippers with my bowl of soup. Listening to the rain pour down and the wind howl. I mentioned about how many songs are written about rainy days, like “Purple Rain”, “Can You Stand the Rain?”, “I Saw You Walking in the Rain”. I could go on and name countless others but I digress. I guess 2022 wanted to go out with a bang because that storm yesterday was not playing around. It came down on us with a vengeance. It knocked out the power out as I was writing this. We lost power about 7:45pm pacific. I was expecting it to come back on within an hour or so but it didn’t. It’s so funny how losing one thing we probably take for granted everyday like electricity. You go from being a king in your castle connected to everybody in the world and possibly beyond. To being cold alone in the dark vulnerable and isolated. Life just stops, what can you do? That doesn’t happen out here very often. I knew where my lighter was at so I used that to help my find little flash light. Fortunately, I was able locate a couple candles. I didn’t even leave them lit very long, because what was I going to do? My only options were either read or workout. So I did the only sensible thing I blew out the candles and climbed in the bed underneath two blankets. I have a few battery operated personal massage devices stored under the bed. So I grab one and powered it up. I was surprised how much light the massager gave off in the dark. I just laid there  and massaged my legs and I have been in need of doing that since I’m still running for an hour every day. So I’m just laying alone in the house listening to the wind howl I could hear it breaking stuff outside and the rain is just pouring down in buckets. The actual scientific term is an “atmospheric river”. Which basically is so much moisture picked up by the storm from the ocean that it creates a river in the sky that pours down at a massive rate. After my massage I drank a kombucha beer and dosed off listening to the storm. It was pleasant and peaceful. The power came back on about midnight. I figured it was midnight because I could hear all the fireworks and gunshots going off, also the storm had passed. I found it somewhat ironic that just as the year ended the storm also ended right on que. Still I didn’t even get up I stayed sleep. I knew I wanted to get enough rest to get up early to workout in the morning. Because there is no way I was going to miss going to the gym on January 1. Especially since I’m off tomorrow Monday and I’m usually not. That’s another thing I wanted to bring up. I thought I would have more time through to work on stuff during the holidays but it didn’t work out like that. See on my usual schedule I work four days a week. So when the holidays roll around we’re not going to get an extra day off in addition to our regular day off. No they just jumble around our days off to fit, but we do get holiday pay so its extra money. My point is the holidays this year were not as productive as I would have liked them to be. But like the scripture says unforeseen circumstances befall us all. Sometimes you have to set your self up to be productive the next time. Whether that be tomorrow or next week. This situation does make me empathize more with people who have to live without electricity on a daily basis. I got up today there was not a cloud in the sky brilliant sunshine. It was cold and windy. But I’m glad I went to the gym I had a good workout, I had fun mostly good vibes. I did resistance training for a little over two hours and I left in a good mood which actually put me in a better frame of mind to write today. It’s always a good sign that the first day of the year turns out to be a good day.  Keep in mind when I leave the gym I’m still not done working out for the day. I’m still in the midst of my running experiment where I run on the treadmill every day for one hour. I’ve done that every day for the past 16 straight weeks. Now I do admit that as I get deeper into the music production an I have to carve out more time for that I may have to adjust my routine. I already kind of have done that. See I found when I get home from work Friday afternoon I jump on the treadmill as soon I can and run. I do whatever Friday night I’ll usually clean up and cook for the week. Then Saturday I wake up as early as my body allows me to. It depends on how rough the week was. Then the first thing I do Saturday morning is run. So in between Friday and Saturday I found that I wasn’t giving my body enough time to recover, So Saturdays runs were not as productive. So just recently I started running for just a half an hour on Saturday but at a faster pace. Which works well because I’ve been trying to use Saturday for day when I do stuff like work on music or write blogs. Now when I started putting out music tunes more regularly, I’m not going to stop writing the blogs. There is a whole a lot more that I want to and I will write about, in a variety of different subject matters. Also the blog writing get those neurotransmitters firing and it helps with my song writing. Keep in mind that as far as these long format blogs I want to write the stories are still unfolding and sometimes I wait a while so I can tell a more complete story. This brisk cold weather is perfect to run in so I’m taking advantage. My point is that as I become busier, I will probably be doing more half hour run days. On Sundays which happens to be today. After I do resistance training for two plus hours. I still go home and run but I do the full hour. You would think it would be harder to run after lifting weights for two hours but its not. It actually seems to be easier. But all in all, I’m continuing to run every day because I like the results. The 12 pac is starting to come in. I’m starting to see my side obliques but I admit it’s been difficult to develop my lower abs. Which means either I’m not targeting them effectively enough in my workouts or I need to lose more body fat. It’s probably a little bit of both. Keep in mind that with bodybuilding in this sport your main competition is yourself. You don’t need to compare yourself to other people. Whether it’s your exercise routine, nutrition or supplementation it’s all about learning about your body a seeing how it responds to what your doing. When you find what works for you and tune it up like a classic car.

What I didn’t get to say yesterday is that 2022 for me was a year of turbulence it was definitely a challenging year. At the same the time as far as personal growth goes. I think it was possibly the best year of  my life. Though I still have a way to go I feel like I’m becoming the man that I want to be. Every obstacle that was place before me I have been able to find a solution to overcome it. I sometimes think “am I just now getting to the good part of my life it sure took long enough”. In the past year some unbelievable, incredible, marvelous happened for me and to me. No matter what happens going forward no one can take those experiences away from me. I just wanted say that those human connections and interactions are one the most valuable things in this life. We’re put on this planet to help each other. I want to help those who I can because I have people that have inspired to do that. It can be unexpected but you can run across that person that is the catalyst that serves to propelling you into who you are supposed to be. It may not go in the way that you think it should and you will with out question face adversity. I don’t just believe I know for a fact that there is a greater reason that we on this world are tested. I said a while back in this blog that I wasn’t going away. You see that I kept my word I’m still here with you. I don’t  know how far I will get within the music business it’s a difficult terrain, but like I once said before as far as what I am capable of doing, I don’t feel like I’ve even scratched the surface yet. When I do reach my potential the platform is not going to matter. When I’m operating at my peak performance great things will happen. As we start a new year but continue on our journey, I will continue to build upon this foundation. To those who are wondering yes, I do have access to my full catalog and it will re-emerge at the proper time. At this point in my life, I know this music production is what I’m supposed to be working on and I’m so excited to do just that. I’m going to be able to bring all the different techniques that I’ve learned and developed over the years together and create some interesting soundscapes. You will see and hear it won’t be too long from now I Promise. I wanted thank anyone that has taken the time to stop by and read my thoughts. But the real special thanx goes to the Silkys who are the main inspiration of my content creation. I’ve been thinking of ways to show you my appreciation. When I get my music factory back in 100% operation there will be plenty of song dedications. Before that I may create a temporary playlist as a page on this site. Like a prelude to good vibes silky smoove mixtape radio @night. I feel good about what the future has in store, partially because the future is what we make to be. I will be in regular contact in one form or another. If you want to, I welcome you to stay tuned. Allow me to say this one more time. Good night and pleasant dreams no matter where you might be, land, air, space or sea. I wish all my Friendz Love, Joy, Happiness and Success in the year 2023 =)

Acquire what you Desire: Becoming the Best version of Yourself Intro 🥶🔥🍲💸🛫✈️🪂🌮🌮🌮🎙️🎹🎼🏃🏾

What happening everybody in cyberspace and outer space?  Well, Hello there, and Welcome to the home of the Silky Smoove blogcast broadcast. A place where you can go and you can always count of a dose of reality but also a re-charge of positive energy vibes. I sincerely hope life and the universe is treating you well as we come into a change in season. That was a long summer I thought it was never going to end. Sometime in early September we hit the temperature record out here of 116 degrees. I remember that day but I was home by 1 o’clock so it wasn’t really too bad for me. Then it was hot temperature in the nineties all the way through October. It didn’t seem like it got cool until right on November 1st. Now it’s so cold in the morning like 40 degrees makes you not want to get out of the bed. The perfect time to relax by a roaring fire in the fireplace a hot bowl of soup, maybe like some Thai coconut curry medium spice and be snuggled up with your favorite silky, oh yeah. I guess for now I’ll have to settle for just the soup ha-ha. No need to worry we know it gets greater later. I am glad it finally cooled off. It helps at work even the few days I got rained on pretty bad it was still a refreshing change of pace. Works been ok some days are better than others. San Francisco is the hardest city to work in for a few different reasons. I work there 3 days a month. While there is a lot I could say about San Francisco I won’t at this point. Perhaps that’s something I’ll save for a book later on. As you know I’m a truck driver and being as that I work in healthcare, I’m pretty limited about what I can say about my job legally. I feel fortunate to have the position that I do.  I believe it’s giving me some good karma points. It’s allowing me to work towards other opportunities. You can have lots of good ideas and motivation but, if you don’t have resources to finance your ideas and bring them to life you’re not doing much. Depending on your situation it can take time to free up the capitol needed to push your plans forward. “Regardless of the circumstances its mandatory to pay your bills and keep your credit straight, or it will be very difficult to maneuver and elevate. To the silkys in that great glass elevator I’d like to congratulate, Perhaps I’ll join you one day and we’ll celebrate”. But seriously over the last several months I feel as if I’ve developed a good routine that’s working for me. As this year comes to a close when I think about a year ago. I’m doing so much better than I was then and, in another year, I can’t see myself anywhere short of the stratosphere. As to why, while I can’t put everything in my life out there but I will discuss as much as it is reasonable to do so.

Which brings us to this week’s topic in our current ongoing series “Acquire What You Desire”: Becoming the Best Version of yourself Intro. I feel that this is an appropriate topic of discussion because it progresses subject matters that we have previously visited. When we spoke about becoming healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. What happens when you do achieve this in these various aspects of your life? Well, you will acquire a measure of completeness. You should be congratulated for accomplishing this very important first step. Still this is just the very beginning of our journey. It’s the necessary solid foundation for the figurative structure we are seeking to build. So every level upwards we ascend to is us becoming a better version of ourselves with the goal of ultimately becoming the absolute best version of ourselves. In this exercise we will refer to version of ourselves as our “True-Form”. So let’s think about it. No matter what it is that you are seeking to achieve or acquire in your life right now, how much more likely do you think it makes it that you will be able to reach this accomplishment if your are in your True-Form? You know the answer to that it goes without saying. This subject also really captures where at in life I am right now. Now not that I am in my true-form I’m nowhere close but I am in a phase of pre-enlightenment reaching for what is next on the higher levels.  Also true-form can be a relative term because when it comes to one’s health there’s always room for some improvement. I would make the point that having this basic amount of functional health can be considered more important than having a lot of scratch in certain circumstances. Due to the thought process that what good is the scrilla going to do you if you don’t have your health? Your financial resources can quickly be diminished if your mind isn’t on point. Or you can come into some measure financial success and most certainly still not be happy. You could come into millions and be in a position power. If you handle your business in a haphazard manner chances are your success will not be long lasting, or you even risk losing it all. As this year draw to a close I’ve been spending time pulling my business affairs in line. Even if you don’t have a mountain of resources on hand your business still has to be tight. This is good because when the time comes and you do a lot of resources at your disposal you’ll be more fiscally responsible. I started a business with the launch of my first product a couple years ago.  While the product didn’t fail and I’m proud of that, because most don’t do even that well on their first go around. While other forces were at work that hindered that product from being an outright success. Regardless of the circumstances that particular product is not the one that is going to lead me to financial independence. Keep in mind you can have a good product that people do buy. Even so you still you may not have a business if the numbers don’t work. It could be that at one point the numbers did work but some factors changed which they often do and the business is no longer viable. Things that can change that you have to calculate in are manufacturing costs and the different fees involved for your storage, shipping and fulfilment. So I acquired some inventory of my product when I did have a good path forward. Then I kind of got the rug pulled up from underneath me and brought those plans to a grinding halt. The position I was in I had to put the product on ice and push it into the background. While the product is still out there and has some popularity and does sale. Which is fortunate because it should allow me to sale through my remaining amount of inventory. Some people get stuck with a bunch of merchandise they can’t sale. Recently international shipping prices have come down from there record pandemic highs, which gives me some hope. Still I’m looking to put this business out to pasture after my inventory sales through, but you never know I always have the option to bring it back. I’ll probably keep it around in some very small capacity, as I look towards my next ventures. I don’t feel demoralized or discouraged by the ordeal. Quite the contrary I feel motivated and excited about what I’m going to do next which I’m sure when will allow me to level up and get off the hamster wheel. So I can actually focus my energy on where it should be. I’m not 100 percent sure what comes next product wise. I talked a lot about my food product I created. Now when I talk about the level of difficultly involved with this product what I don’t mean is the marketing. Presenting it to the public in this day and age is going to be the easy part. It’s a food product it looks appetizing and taste delicious its very demonstrable. You utilize social media the right influencers, it’s not that difficult of an equation. You don’t have to be vegan or vegetarian to enjoy it, this product has broad application. All these positive attributes still don’t mean this product is going to be a company or a business. You have to see if the numbers work and then you have to make them scale upwards. What I think is going to hard about a food product is the legalities involved. There might be clinical testing that needs to be done. I might have to work with some food scientists to get the recipe ready for mass production. It’s probably going to be pretty involved, but when you catch lighting in bottle it’ll all be worth it. With that I’ll probably almost certainly have to take my knowledge and experience and start with a easier product first. The food product might just end up being something that I go on the internet and show people how to make themselves. That doesn’t mean I won’t be able to capitalize off it when it becomes popular. Just like any recipe its possible for you make yourself or even make your own version. It would just be time consuming. That why this product is designed for people who want to eat gourmet cuisine that is ultra nutritionally dense delicious but don’t have time. Also it would work well for restaurants of all kinds as a component for possibly hundreds of different dishes, It would cut down their prep time dramatically. Even so for the reasons stated before I’ll most likely will get the ball rolling with something easier like a specialty cleaning or shaving kit. I have a little bit of an inside trac in these industries. Or I may do something completely different. I’ll just have to do my research find where the opportunity resides. I feel confident in saying that within a short amount of time I will have a company that will replace me having to work a traditional job. Just to attain that next level of freedom in life is going to be amazing. Just to be able have the freedom to travel out of my region on regular basis and have more experiences. Also a big part of success is proximity to meet and interact with those who you can help elevate and they can help too. This is going to be part of any successful person’s migration. Also to be able to use what I feel is one of my better attributes in my creativity to earn a living would be such an ideal situation. While this may seem like a long winded over explanation into my business affairs. To those who know SEO wise the writing helps bolster the ranking of my website. Also believe it or not there is a lot of people out there who like to read, yes they actually enjoy it. Understand that as of right now I am laying the necessary ground work for my future projects. As I am working proactively towards in the near future transforming this blog into a primarily a music blog where I will publish Instrumentals and songs on a regular basis. I believe that it is important for me to state that In the short term while I enter into this transformational phase. There may be short periods of time where you won’t hear from me in this manner. Due to the fact that I am working on music and my mind is in a different mode.  In the long term once we get the entire system figured out I think it’ll produce some really great work. We’ll get in the zone and start pumping out the hits like a factory. Also I have a bunch of unreleased music I always tend to try stay busy creatively whenever possible. So a big piece of the puzzle is how to go about putting it out so that it is appreciated and garners the proper respect. Even though I don’t have that path completely figured out. We’ll have to talk to some people and try some stuff. I still feel a sense of urgency because I do feel it is important not keep the people that do follow me waiting for to much longer. Also for myself for a long time it was such a big part of who I am. As of recently even though I would describe my life as headed in the proper direction and actually going rather well. I still feel like a large part of me has been missing. Getting back in the saddle and publishing music again will help to fill that void if at least to a small degree.

So after spending a little time discussing my own business ventures and struggles. I think this is a good time to segway into discussing some other entrepreneurs and business icons. That way we can learn and also draw colorations and comparisons to on our own path. This will help us draw inspiration from these real world situations. So I’ve wrote about before about how much I love the movie “the Founder” I still fall asleep to it almost every night. As much as I enjoy that movie I can’t for the life of me figure out why there hasn’t been at least two sequels to this movie. Because as incredible as the Ray Croc story is, in my opinion the stories of Glenn Bell and even more so Dave Thomas are even more remarkable. I’m just going to give you some of the highlights but I would definitely go watch their episodes because their stories are amazing. Glen Bell this guy this true-form entrepreneur had to start over from nothing zero three different times. He started out as a cook in the marine corps after that he opened a hamburger stand in San Bernadino. His wife divorced him because he was a workaholic and took the hamburger stand. When he had the idea to make Latin inspired food initially he couldn’t get financing because the banks didn’t want to take a chance on something that was considered exotic at the time. He altered the traditional recipe for the taco and reworked it for the American palette. He created what is known in the US as the modern day crunchy taco. He knew there was a large market for an alternative to the hamburger. Its common sense people don’t want to eat the same thing every time they go out. Since he couldn’t get start up capitol he had to he had take on financial backing and get a partner. They were able to create a successful company called taco tia with several locations. When this partnership fell apart because he saw the larger potential but his partner didn’t want to take on any more risk he had to leave that business and start over again. For a while he had a consultation business in where he was instrumental in the success of several different restaurants. When he opened his first taco bell it was an instant success. One of his managers later when to found del taco. Still at the time Mexican food was still consider risky so he couldn’t convince people to franchise. He had to open his own second location where he did all the work and had another guy pretend to be his franchisee. All he asked the guy to do was spend the profits as lavishly as he could. He had him go out and buy cadillacs and boats so that other people could see that owning a taco bell would make them rich. His plan worked and his company grew rapidly. The business really began to turn a corner when he had the idea to start staying open late nights. He knew had lighting in a bottle. He seized on the opportunity fast forward his company is one of the largest and most successful in the world.  I’m going stop there because Dave Thomas is just on a whole another level. I have such respect for him I need to do his story justice and really focus on it in the next entry.

As an update on my own fitness journey and me trying to become the best version of myself. I’m still involved in the running experiment. I haven’t missed a day in going on 12 weeks now. Since about a month ago when I ran for an hour and half. I haven’t run for anytime less than an hour straight. An hour is not that difficult for me anymore. I’m not running over an hours’ time because you know life. Instead, I’ve been trying focusing pushing the pace higher so I’m running a bit faster. Where I could use some improvement is I haven’t been making into the actual gym for resistance as much as I would like to. While I can workout at home so I’m not missing days. I would still rather make it in the office and get a better workout in, and still come home and run for an hour. Due to the fact that those days seem to be the most transformational physically. So I’ve been pretty consistent. I’ve been making into the gym like 1 – 2 times a week, workout at home the other days and run everyday 7 days a week. I would like to also state that my work is very physical. In the near future it’s my goal to make in the gym more often I think 2 - 3 days a week would be good. When I do miss a day going to the gym it’s not for a lack of motivation. It’s just due to having a full schedule to keep up with. I usually I’m doing something like writing a blog trying to stay in communication with my audience or working on some new music or something music related. The change in weather helps with the workouts its easier to run when its cooler. Also running helps when it’s freezing when you get on that treadmill after about 20 minutes your body temperature is warm no matter how cold it is in the house or outside.  Although running for does take a chunk out of your day, In this phase I’m getting my body adjusted so I can do everything that I need to do and not be deficient in any area. As far as the running goes I’m continuing the experiment because the results have been dramatic. My body composition compared to three months ago is drastically leaner. One hour seems like the magic number. Everyday when I wake up and look in the mirror I feel like I see change. So as long as I’m seeing these kinds of results I’m going to keep it up and try to progress the program until I reach my true-form physically. Even though were talking about self-improvements of a physical nature. The mind and the body are one and one can pull the other up or one can drag the other down. It makes you feel really good and that makes good things start happening to you. The days when you work lower body like with squats, lunges and bridges then come home and run those are the best days. It makes the muscles in your legs feel great. It makes you feel strong, dominate and stable. What I said before about it causing you to collect all this positive cosmic energy it still seems to be true, so I’m going to try figure out what I’m tapping into hanging by the moment here with you. Alright y’all I’m going to getty up on out of here. I hope you had a great weekend and I hope you have an awesome upcoming week. I will always remain in touch as much as my schedule allows. Remember Strength is in the Force not the flesh. I'm about to go heat up some SOUP! ttys

Fall Life Update 🤙🏾👐🏾📻🐎🐎🐎🐎🕊️🕊️🎹🎵🎧🎻🎥🏃🏿🏋🏿‍♂️🍓🎮🃏🍲💐

First off what’s up to all the Silkys? I like that word. If I ever start streaming a podcast that’s going to be my catchphrase. For now, this is me staying in touch, So what’s good everybody no matter where you may be land, space, or sea as always I hope all my Friendz are doing just as well as me. This won’t be a long update I just wanted to say Hello since the last few weeks I’ve just been writing flowz. That’s just me having fun with news and headlines remember I’m a poet not a pundit.  There’s so much going on seems like the whole world is on the brink. Seems like the four horsemen of the apocalypse are galloping at a full pace. What doesn’t make sense is the solutions are right in front of our face. I could go on forever about the deficiencies and out right insanities in our systems and society. A few years ago I would have but that’s when I still believed we lived in a world where logic and reason were still a factor. They are not, instead they have been replaced with ideology and greed.  I am not discouraged and you shouldn’t be either. The Universe still speaks to me it was about six weeks ago they sent me a sign. I interpreted the sign to mean for me everything is going to be fine. So, you see when I do the things that I do it because my concern is for others and people like you. I want to transition back over to a realm were things still make sense a realm of melodies and rhythm. I plan to delve deeper into my music productions. Since platform and audience wise, I’m pretty much starting over from scratch. Which is fine I feel at the end of the day it’ll make me a stronger producer. I plan to start off by posting instrumentals to tik tok and my blog of course. I’m going to go further into the animation too so that the videos have that visual aspect. I really like the idea of focusing on producing instrumentals for a while, because as a beatmaker I am not restricted by making a trac that someone has to sing over. I can just let my imagination run wild for a time. You can make songs that are very complex and long and you can tell your story with many layered sounds and breakdowns and change ups. It’s a new challenge that help get my left brain working in new directions, and not just urban and r&b stylez all kinds different sounds, flavors and vibes.  Then as I find and grow my audience we’ll get back to the live videos and miniature films. It shouldn’t be to difficult producing beats comes pretty easily to not only just by nature but also because I’ve been doing it for twenty years, and I’ve always been able to come up with bangers ever since day one. I could do it in my sleep and sometimes I do dream up new song ideas. I think for people like myself artists creating the music is the easy part. It’s just what we do and we enjoy it, but it’s life and everything that surrounds it that can be intricate, that’s why most will quit, but would I do that? When all it takes to change your life is for one song to be hit. I know what I am capable of and if I had the time the resources and the platform to speak, I could make a hit song for every day of the week. I also have ideas for creator collabs with those who I feel could benefit from my beats that are unique, neat and certified heat. I also want to collab with some live musicians too so that everything is not just strictly produced. I want to prove myself as a musician and focus on the music not the antics. This music thing has caused some pretty incredible amazing things to occur in my life so I have to see where this path is going to take me.

                                                 Fifty Dollar Treadmill Update

So I am very happy to let you know that the fifty dollar treadmill still works like it’s brand new runs smooth as butter. You know most home work out equipment just plain doesn’t work. Due to the fact that people don’t use them. One of the biggest aspects of a successful business is resource allocation. When you are a large business, your resources are capitol, talent and labor. When you are a one man company like myself when you’re talking about resources you’re talking about time and energy. So the reason I haven’t been writing as much lately is I’ve been spending more time training. It something I haven’t really done before in that it is a consistent, high volume of intense cardio training. I run on the treadmill everyday no matter what. I believe anyone could do this because I just started with whatever I could handle. If it was only 12-15 minutes that’s what I would do. Over time I gradually increased the time I would be on. My technique works like this, I always start with a 3 minute warmup. Walking at a fast steady pace. Every minute I increase the pace by a half a mile per hour. Then I start with a steady jog just fast enough so I’m running not fast walking. Then I go as long as I can based on how I feel and how much time I have that day. Once I’ve started running, I try not to take a break. I just run until I physically feel like I can’t run anymore then I do a 3 minute cool down. Slowly decreasing the pace until I’m finished. In the last 8 weeks I’ve only missed day and that was 7 weeks ago. I do it every day so that my body gets used to and it becomes very functional at it. I’m not running very fast right it’s between 4 and 5 mph. The first month I would try to do at least 30 minutes, and that’s usually if I had a hard day at work and I have to get up early the next day, and that’s always with a 3-minute warm-up and a 3-minute cool down, so I would actually on the treadmill for a total of 36 minutes. I always try to push myself a little bit further than previous days and a little out of my comfort zone. Towards the end of last month if I had the time I could easily do 45 minutes straight running or even an up to an hour if I was feeling good. Even if I go the gym that day and do resistance training for two hours, I still come home and run for up to an hour. The pace at which I can push myself is increasing steadily and I’m shredding body fat relatively quik, I’m getting good results and I like that. I feel great it’s like a cheat card for building positive energy. Everyday is a good day, Everyday something cool happens. My motto for life and business is if something is working keep doing it. For the industry I would like to break into, the creator, influencer game your image is important. Especially within the health and fitness realm looking the part is mandatory. In this sport your competition is yourself your are always pushing yourself to break own personal best. It gives you such an air of confidence when you are able. Yesterday I shattered my old record huge margin when I ran for 90 minutes straight through no breaks. After fighting your own thoughts to take a break and enduring all the way through a long run. You feel so psyched your like oh hell yeah I did it. Sometimes I’ll watch TV while running although I don’t really like to. I don’t listen music when I run. I don’t want rely on passion or adrenaline to make through the run. I just like to zone completely out and just run. When you get into flow and start feeling good it almost like you outside of your physical body accessing your Astro-body, it feels like you can run forever. Of course, water helps room temperature is better than ice cold because it absorbs into your system faster. The other thing that helps out is caffeine. To see physical changes, occur so rapidly is really motivating, it pushes you to do better and make changes in other aspects of your fitness life. You sleep better and even your food will digest better. Definitely a good way to blow off steam. When you start leveling up your health and fitness you even start feeling more alive and you’ll even notice your cosmic powers will increase. Don’t worry I’m not becoming obsessive with this. I do feel like an hour is to much time for cardio. Especially you do have many other things to do during the course of a day.  When you run for and hour and a half after you come down off that exercise high you tend to pass out for a while. Right now, I would consider myself to be in an experimental phase. I want to see how hard and how much I can push my body and more importantly what results they will yield. Before I getty up on out of here I wanted to mention that I saw the new Super Mario Bros movie trailer. I think it looked good. Now I’m more of Sega Genesis baby, on a side note I just wanted to say that (Nights into Dreams) was so far ahead of its time, so I’m on team Sonic, but I wish the Sonic movies were made more like how it looks like this Mario Bros movie was made. I like the Sonic movies overall but I really disliked them bringing Sonic into the so called real world. All the goofy, slapstick, bad sitcom live characters that weren’t in the game and really have nothing to do with Sonic the Hedgehog, they were all horrible, idiotic, and unnecessary. I don’t mean Jim Carrey he was great like he is in everything he does. So, it seems like once again team Nintendo will win another round. Hopefully they will reboot the Sonic movie franchise and just give us a CGI world minus convoluted goofy nonsense sitcom characters. Alright I’m going to wrap this one there’s some veggie burgers and kombucha downstairs calling my name. Next weekend I have to once again do my meal prep but you never know I might post something. As you know this past year has been really wild for but things are starting stabilize and I’m falling into a good routine. I feel really good and motivated and I hope you do as well. Within the beginning of the new year this will be a full fledge music blog I will be posting new music here weekly and then daily. Until then I hope you continue to look out for me, I appreciate you and I will continue to stay in touch. A special shot out to all the Silkys staaay Smooove!!!

Acquire what you Desire Food part 2 🧠🧬🌌🩺☀️🌡️🕶️🍩🍩🍦🍨

“Wzup? Greetings to everybody, No matter where you might be, Land, Space, or Sea, I hope all my Friendz are doing just as well as Me”. Today let’s jump right into the mix another installment of the A.W.Y.D series. Remember this is an exercise in philosophy, critical thinking and reasoning, not ideology.  I usually try to think of a compelling inspirational intro to these entries. I try to find the words that make you realize that the images that you visualize you have the ability to make them materialize. You can influence the molecules, atmosphere and energy around you and shape your reality into whatever you would like it to be. In a world that can bombard us with so much disturbing imagery. To help balance out your media intake I aspire to be an oasis of positive affirmation in a desert of doubt, a beacon of light in a sea of darkness.  It is my belief that the human mind is an extraordinary anomaly with a vast array of untapped potential, capable of miraculous activities. I believe that the more of us that this bright vision of the future for all the world, the more likely and the sooner that reality will come to pass. If I am to be truthful this is just as much a pep talk to myself as it is to anybody else. At times it can seem as if we exist in a system that instead nurturing our potential, they mostly seek to suppress it. What would be the motivations behind them doing something as sinister as that? For my estimation I will quote sister Janet and say it’s all about “Control”. Now this is not going to turn into some political critique. Due to my thoughts that it just seems to be a character flaw in about 90% of human beings. They just don’t seem to be able to handle huge amounts of authority well. More often than not they seem to abuse it. Identifying the problem is the first step towards correcting it. This is just another obstacle in the path that we will overcome through cooperation in our operations. Much like ants human communities were designed to work in unity. We can help each other remain positive, because confidence is key, insecurities are the enemy. An extraordinarily wise young man once said: “If you only have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. Nothing for you will be impossible”.

I just went outside for a few minutes to take a break, It’s freaking sizzling hot out there. I adjust my daily routine based on the weather including extreme heat. In my quest to maximize my productive output I’ve recognized that a lot of good things don’t get accomplished when the temperatures go up past triple digits. It really seems to drain your energy faster too. That’s something I noticed from when I lived in Phoenix. So I never do things like video or photoshoots when its this hot, also I turn down the intensity of my workouts. You don’t want to put excessive stress on your system because stress is what ages your body not time. Some stress is unavoidable. When it comes to your body I believe the individual should have the choice to decide the amount of stress that they can leverage upon their own body at a given time. Keeping in mind that a lot of people living our system don’t have access to healthcare, resulting in various otherwise preventable health conditions being widespread and there is a growing large number of people who can’t even afford a place to live. If you actually want to cure the symptoms you have to first address the root causation. Point being if you really care about saving life your primary focus should be on shaping a better world. You have look at the big picture and consider all relevant circumstances involved. I digress and go back to my point about stress. Numerous things in our life can cause stress resulting in high levels of cortisol and free radicals which can be toxic and damage our internals leading to a variety of health complications.

So I started wring this on Saturday when the temp got up to around 105. I’m finishing this up on Sunday it’s 15 degrees cooler. It makes such a huge difference in how you feel. I feel so much more energetic today. I’ve been trying to find ways to increase my written output. I started experimenting with wearing sunglasses while writing so I can look at a screen for longer periods of time without having to take a break because it makes your head hurt. Nothing will stop you from going into flow more than if you keep having to stop doing what you’re doing. Anyhow it seems that glasses with dark blue colored lens work well for this. One of reasons I know I will be more productive than I ever have been in the past is my current work schedule. He four day a week is great. I remember in the past everybody including me would be so excited about a three day weekend, now it’s a weekly thing. That extra day of rest is a game changer. It’s like when the week starts to seem bit unbearable you a get a day off to help you get through it. When the weekend does arrive I’m not completely drained. Then you have an extra day to get other stuff done like exercise, shopping, cooking, cleaning and all that necessary stuff. I know this will lead to me being able to get more projects accomplished and having a higher media output than I ever have had before.

                      the Food that Built America

So we are still discussing food and the business of it. And why not? It’s good business everybody has to eat. It’s a hard business the competition is steep.  I like watching some food shows from time to time. Chopped is good one Top Chef was one of my favorite shows for many years. Most recently I’ve really gotten into “the Food that Built America”. First off (the History Channel) is such an amazing resource in general, but this particular show stands out as fantastic. It’s fascinating learning about how these iconic brands got their start and the entrepreneurs that drove their success. I think everything produced under this series has been incredible. I’ll try to keep this discussion centered around season 3, the newest season. For now I think I just want to touch on season highlights and I’ll break down the episodes further on future blogs, after I watch them a few more times. I like every single episode I think they’re all really good. Even though there’s a strong educational component the shows are enjoyable and entertaining at the same time. If you want to watch something just to put you in a good mood, I recommend watching the donut or the soft serve episodes. The Donut one is about Krispy Crème and Dunkin Donuts. How is that not going to be fun to watch? The founders of both of these companies began with only one location they both had to be innovative. Donuts were not a common food at the turn of the 19th century. Krispy Kreme started out as a donut factory and distributor that only sold their donuts to local grocery stores in the Winston Salem area. They found their business model when people kept banging on their factory door because they could smell the fresh baked donuts and they wanted to buy some. They recognized an opportunity adjusted the business and they put in a service window. To standardize their product across all their locations to make sure they had uniform consistency. They actually had to invent their own automated donut making machine that would create precisely the perfect donut every time. Tom Carvel also had to create his own device to make his soft serve ice cream. A lot of these guys had to do something similar to that. Keep that thought in mind for future reference. Bill Rosenburg the founder of Dunkin had to be creative he invented 52 different kinds of donuts. The donut industry greatly profited from the workers movement of that age.  Before the movement people didn’t really get breaks at work. So these companies were able to benefit from the newly gained coffee break. I’m going to stop right there for today. I just wanted to take the time to drop some proper words on you this week. I’m going to kept going further in depth regarding this show because there’s a ton more to break down and learn from. Keep in mind everything I’m writing will have future context and will make more sense in time. I’ll be drawing comparisons to the modern world our lives and even my own current aspirations. I’ve mentioned before I’m developing a food product. It’s not a gimmick it has nothing to do with my music brand. Even though what I can do in the studio will always help me along my path. It’s my own recipe that I will patent and trademark. I feel it’s product that could help a lot of people and I have a good idea of how to market it. I never would have guessed this but the first book I author might be a cookbook. Where my product is the main component in a cooking system designed for people who want to eat healthily but have little time to cook. Will this be my contribution to society? I don’t know time will tell. It’s definitely in the realm of possibility but its not like this is the last good idea I’ll ever have in my life.  In the episode about Taco bell and Arby’s one of the hosts says to be successful he tells his students innovate something new that the public doesn’t know it needs yet. It won’t be easy but I believe it could be a player in the meal prep kit space. It’ll take some time and resources but the objective is to get the ball rolling and make at least a little progress each day.  I appreciate you joining me once again and I would be delighted if you choose to return and continue to join me along this our journey. I wish you a pleasant evening and peaceful night of rest where you dream about ice cream and donuts and wake up ready for an excellent week. Stay tuned I will return soon with part 3.

One way to achieve fast fitness results

So I’m going to take a brief deviation from my life and times story since I’m almost caught up. This is not going to be a long entry. I just wanted to take a little time to deploy some knowledge in the form of some fitness tips I’ve picked up along the way. For those who might be interested.  Today I’m going to tell you how you can get into an incredible physical condition in lighting quick time. Not only will you be able to attain this for free but you actually will get paid to do this. So some of you can probably see what direction this going in but hear me out anyways.

So one of my top interests and past times is physical fitness. I actually pursued a career as a personal trainer for 7 years. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 different fitness and nutritional certifications. Due to the fact that to maintain your trainer cert you have to always be continuing your education and acquiring new certs. So I’ve done lots of research and I have some experience in this area.  It actually was a very fulfilling job due to my personality type I really enjoyed the satisfaction I got from helping individuals attain their goals. So I absolutely would like to continue along that path by making health related topics a regular part of my blog. Maybe when I have more time on my hands I’ll even make some video demonstrations of exercises.  Especially in this day and age being in top physical condition is even more important than ever.  You have to stay active no matter what.

So if you have a lofty fitness goal I’m going to tell you how to achieve it fast. I’m not saying that most people are even  going to be capable of doing what I’m recommending because of ……whatever circumstance, But check this out whatever in life you want to accomplish its possible to make it happen. But If you really want that thing whatever it may be you have to commit to it and make it your priority. Maybe you’re not in the position to make it your priority at this time. Be confident but realistic.

Sometimes I reminisce about when I was I the best shape of my life. What I was doing at that time was working a part time gig at the airport. The post office at the airport to be exact. My job title was parcel handler. What we did was load bags and trays of mail into large pods that were to be put on airplanes and flown to other hubs. We finished when we got done there was no exact off time. Usually we worked from 4-6 hours. The packages ranged from 20-100 pounds. We were under tight time constraints to make those flights. There were some slow nights but most nights it were very fast paced.  It was a very labor intensive job. It was like a 5 hour workout every night the mail ran so 6 days a week. I was in the most incredible shape its even hard for me to believe thinking back on it. So I did that in addition to my regular gym routine. Which I remember being 3 days a week = (Day 1 chest and triceps) (Day 2 back and biceps)( Day 3 Legs) (Abs everyday)  My diet wasn’t  great I want to say my diet at that time was good to ok. But I’ve learned a lot since then. Also when you’re working out that intensely and consistently you have the room to splurge little bit more. I also want to say that it also probably had a lot to do with the time of day when we operated. I would train clients during the day then work there at night. Start time was 11pm, earlier during the holidays and we’d get off around 3, 4, or 5 in the morning. Me personally I could not have done this job during the day time in the heat. Even thou yes we got rained on a lot. I worked there for a little over a year.  I’ve spoken with several people who’ve done jobs similar to this one and have achieved huge weight loss goals in a very short amount of time. Basically you get paid to workout. So I was I working at the post office but similar jobs are like baggage handler at the airport. For airport jobs the benefits are really good. Some people work there exclusively for the flight coupons. Physically I wouldn’t recommend this one as much because you have to crouch in some really awkward positions for a long time to load the pits (bottoms of those planes). FedEx and UPS have similar part time gigs that are usually always hiring. So I know most people are not going be able to do this for whatever circumstance. But if you are able bodied and have the time to do it this is a very effective way of accomplishing that goal fast and not just free you get paid. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about this goal on the internet so this is another option for you to consider.  My hope is to continue write more of these health posts in the near future as I consider more topics to cover.
